Yagi the Bookshop Goat by Fumi Furukawa
3.5
lighthearted medium-paced

This was cute, but it wasn’t anything special. I got into it easily and read it in one sitting, but it’s not super memorable.

Overall, I just really liked the character designs. They were cute. Yagi was especially sweet looking! Bless that little goat.

There were two main things that made me not feel invested in this. One of them is that there’s an age gap between the characters, and I was uncomfortable with the fact that it was never clear how big of an age gap it was. The other reason is that this had some smut and between me feeling uncomfortable with their nebulous age gap and the fact that the smut was pretty mild… I was just left uncomfortable and unsatisfied. It was a bad mix.

Anyway. I would still recommend this to anyone who is even mildly intrigued by it. I think many people could enjoy it.
