After all these years, I finally know why I tried and failed so many times as a child to read this book. The sad truth is, it's just not very good. Don't want to dwell on it, just want to move on. I'm glad I can officially say I've read the entire Chronicles of Narnia series now, but this one was a far cry from LWW or SC. As always, Lewis's imagery is dazzling.
