Bogeyman: He Was Every Parent's Nightmare by Steve Jackson

3.0

This book was a very sad account of a serial killer named David Penton who had a love of abducting young girls by punching them in the stomach or chest, and taking them across county or state lines, raping them for hours or days, then suffocating or strangling them and tossing them into wooded creeks or rivers. He almost got away with ALL of them, too, but he loved to brag about it too much. He was tried and found guilty and went to prison for only ONE murder because he made the mistake of taking the niece (daughter?) of a man he worked with, but he bragged to everyone he ever shared a cell with, so MANY people knew in depth details of his crimes. These cellmates decided to talk to police, which lead to the downfall of David Penton.
