Fortuna Sworn by K.J. Sutton

4.0

8.07 out of 10. There were a few issues from this book. I feel like there were some contradictions and miscommunication, which could get frustrating. However, you are dealing with Faeries in this book. They are, in myth and apparently in this, typically cunning and vile and naturally misleading and just strange all together. So, it would make sense that dealing with even a 'good' one would leave you confused and frustrated. With that being said, the rest of the story was fun and intriguing. I feel like Stockholm and trauma were nicely represented in this with the unsettling truth that sometimes people aren't thankful that you have saved them. It took a little while for me to enjoy Fortuna as a character and I still don't know if I'm all the way there yet. She isn't bad at all, I like her, I just find myself being even more interested in the other characters. I have so, so many questions and a few theories that I could be very wrong on, but that's okay. I can't wait to continue with the series and may end up starting Restless Slumber straight away.
