For being a book about a teenage boy on an acid trip, it's pretty boring. I liked the bizarre way the author would describe how the MC perceived the world while he was on drugs, very creative. The characters felt like believable teenage dickheads. Everything else I disliked though. It felt underdeveloped in really key places and overdeveloped in other, less crucial places. Plot points that felt like they were supposed to be very important would only be mentioned once or not at all before they were brought up again and supposed to have relevance to the audience. Was a slog to read through, and unlike the MC, I wasn't having fun.
