Silk, Volume 1: Sinister by Tana Ford, Helen Chen, Ian Herring, Robbie Thompson, Veronica Fish, Travis Lanham, Stacey Lee

4.0

3.5* I read this in the single issues but I don't want to count every issue as a book so I thought I'd just review the trade.

I had high expectations after I really enjoyed the first volume and I was not let down. At the beginning I was a bit confused because it doesn't start right after the first volume ended, some time has passed. I really liked the storyline though. Silk is kind of a double agent for S.H.I.E.L.D and is pretending to work for Black Cat. I was a bit sad that there was less about her family in this one but her personal struggles and anger problems were still really interesting. I really like Cindy/Silk, she is funny but has also a dark side which makes her a really compelling character.

What kind of annoyed me were the changing artists, there were three in this volume and while I really liked the art by Lee and Fish, I unfortunately did not enjoy the art by Ford as much.
