All This I Will Give to You by Dolores Redondo

2.0

DNF at about the quarter mark. The writing was engaging and the intrigue was intriguing but it starts sad and the grief and how each layer of the mystery just keeps contributing to that grief and the way everyone just sucked really dragged everything down. While I want to know what happened and the reading was very consumable, I'm not enjoying the emotional experience enough to continue. And I could definitely have done without the meta commentary on literary-ness and how writers need bad and sad things to happen to them to write best.
