Domino (2018-) Annual #1 by Leah Williams, Dennis Hopeless, Various, Gail Simone, Víctor Ibáñez, Greg Land, Juan Gedeon, Fabian Nicieza, Natacha Bustos

4.0

My favorite sort of annual issue is one that’s full of flashbacks. That sounded sarcastic, but it wasn’t meant to be. Annuals are the perfect excuse to jump out of the current plot and continuity. They can show you past events, events running alongside a current plot, or even future events.
This issue went with the past, showing us how Domino managed to get her squad together. It’s fun and light, and actually pretty cute all things considered. It focuses a lot of all the effort Domino has made to get her life back in order. And really, it’s impossible not to respect that.
