I didn’t loveeee the back and forth, but seeing Paige really fall apart and work to make her own comeback, deal with the withdrawal, and how to just LIVE again was done so well in such a short amount of time. Definitely not for the faint of heart and trigger warnings for SO many many things — drug withdrawals, grief, abuse, recovery, etc.
The Song Rising was a DIFFICULT book to get through at the end, and this novella bridges the gap but GOOOOODNESS ME is it painful.
