While the budding romance is "clean", I can't give this a higher rating solely because of the massive age gap. Had it been a smaller age gap, maybe... but 10 years is a lot. I know the whole shtick was "grumpy business man and outspoken high schooler", but did he need to be nearly 30 for this gimmick to work? Couldn't he've been 22 at the oldest? Her sister could still have been 23.
I like that he at least didn't sexualize her, but going out of his way to spend time with a teenager is weird.
I know age-gap romance is popular, but when the age gap includes Children, I can't support it. I will not be continuing this series. This gets 2 stars for doing the bare minimum of not sexualizing a minor, but I looked a head at the synopsis of the series and they do eventually get married, and that my friends is called grooming.
