The Art of Horizon Zero Dawn by Paul Davies

5.0

A both beautiful and interesting art-book about the art in a equally beautiful and interesting game.

I particularly enjoyed reading about the thought and hard work that went into the design of the matriarchal Nora tribe. Not content with having a "strong woman" protagonist, Aloy is put into a larger context where her role makes sense.

The organic-inspired "robot dinosaurs" of the game are pretty awesome too, and I think both the tallneck, a giraffe-equivalent machine of gargantuan size) and the watcher, a one-eyes small machine with a scout/guard role are pretty awesome.
