The story (a zombie apocalypse) is OK. The writing is very bad.
Things (the collapse) happen too quickly, there's no character development, the rules change when needed (noise, shooting, etc.), the journal style doesn't work.
Gets two stars because some parts are interesting and because he explored some less common ideas. But Max Brooks zombie literature is considerably better.
