I loved that we get a little intro before the title page. A very mysterious vibe for a very mysterious creature. The book also contains a beautiful fold out page illustration in which you could really marvel at the giant squid. This is a great picture book for K-5, maybe even middle school age students, as they research ocean wildlife.
