People Don't Bite People by Lisa Wheeler

4.0

Manners books are a rare thing in this modern age--especially targeted to children. Rarer still is a book on etiquette that is filled with enough catchy refrains and bright illustrations that it could easily fit in with the best storytime titles. People Don't Bite People is a fantastic way to introduce children to the concepts of respect and keeping their teeth to themselves. Wheeler's breezy text is engaging and thoughtful while Idle's illustrations whimsically depict of the best (and worst) case scenarios for the dos and don'ts of biting. I only wish there were more kids etiquette books in this vein.
