The books started off being kind of flat for me. I was a bit uncomfortable and really didn't feel like it was going anywhere. But then it did. It really did. Everything took a turn. It went from being a book about a 14 year who has feelings for someone older, to being about how dangerous that situation can be. And how dangerous some people can be.
