2021 book review: This was such a great read that I finished it in ONE day!! You get a lot of insight from this story about all of the pressure that gets put on trainees when it comes to making it big in the K-pop world, from appearances to body image to who you can interact with. I really liked Candace’s heartfelt message at the end and I was throughly invested in her singing dream/journey the entire way through. She knew what she wanted from the very beginning and followed through, making friends along the the way with her group mates (and all the 😍 for YoungBae). I can’t believe I have to wait until next year for the sequel, but it will definitely be worth the wait ❤️🤞❤️

2022 book review: Candace is still fierce and speaks her mind, YoungBae will always get 😍, and I’m still left wanting more! I need to know how Candace handles that cliffhanger of an ending 🎤 (her mic drop moment gets me still 🙌). Bring on the K-pop Revolution!!!

Side note: shortly after reading this book last summer, Candace’s purple hair inspired me to try lavender hair, but it has since evolved around the holidays to a brighter purple. Looking again at the sequel’s cover today (in excitement since it will be released next month), I’m starting to feel that Candace and I are hair doppelgängers and I’m here for it!! 💜😍📚
