The Blue Moon Cafe by Rick R. Reed

2.0

Definitely a different kind of book.
There was definitely a tone of romance in this book, but it was certainly not in the forefront. It actually starts with the gritty description of a murder, from the murderer's POV. Then switches to a nonsens romance between a 20+ young man, Thad, and the mature restaurant owner Sam who recently relocated to the neighborhood.

Sam is not quite who he seems, never being quite truthful to Thad. As bodies pile up Thad starts to question Sam, their relationship and the sanity of both himself and his best friend Jared.

Neither of the characters

The story ends as a somewhat HEA, but there's still the uncertainty of a HFN.
