Act and Being: Transcendental Philosophy and Ontology in Systematic Theology by Dietrich Bonhoeffer

4.0

Absolutely amazing book. It took me about three months to read this, which is very unusual for me. Normally a book of this length would take me an afternoon. But this is hands down the hardest work I've ever read. However, it is worth the time to wade through. Bonhoeffer's theology is brilliant, and his thoughts in this about how theology and preaching fit together were spot on. Not for beginners, but if you have a solid footing in theology and Bonhoeffer studies, read this book.
