The Eye of Osiris by R. Austin Freeman
4.0
The second book I read that had Dr. Thorndyke as investigator and I liked it. You can see quite clearly that the author is a medical doctor, as there are a lot of medical details mentioned, but this never bothered me.
Freeman knows how to write an interesting story that keeps your attention and makes you read on.
