The second book in the Poldark series continues the story but with a focus on Demelza, Ross’ wife. Although the other characters are involved and feature just as much, we get to know Demelza a little better.

I did enjoy this book. There were some moments I found quite slow and I feel that I needed time to sit down and read it properly.

I’m going to continue the rest of the series as I’m curious as to how the TV show compares.
