In this sequel to Vegan Virgin Valentine, Mara is off at college and V is the narrator. She is fairly settled, having spent her senior year starring in several plays and having an almost relationship with dream-guy Sam (gorgeous, sensitive, and loves to bake bread).

However, when her mom blows off V's graduation ceremony, Vtakes it hard. She feels like if her mom doesn't love her, there's no way that anyone else can either. So she cheats on Sam at a party and breaks his heart. She soon sets out on a road trip to visit her mother, and learns a lot about herself and what she wants while she's [b:on the road|6288|The Road|Cormac McCarthy|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21E8H3D1JSL._SL75_.jpg|3355573].

When V's mom disappoints her yet again, V finally has to choose her own path. But where will it lead?

Highly recommended for teen girls and their grown-up selves.
