For the first half of this book I slogged through sort of half-heartedly interested. When I reached the second half, I realized how much had *actually* just happened in the first half. There's a little "Usual Suspects" in here where the end reveals what's really been going on the whole time.

Difficult to rate since I didn't love the experience - but the stories of women WW II and the way the tale came together was very nicely done.
