After Dark by Haruki Murakami

3.0

This checked a lot of boxes for me - I like stories that take place over a short amount of time, the tone is pretty dreamy and Lynchian, and it's Murakami.

Unfortunately, while I had a decent time with it, I found it to be ultimately a little empty and forgettable. Not bad, exactly, it just never really got a grip on me before it ended.
