I was starting to feel fatigued with this book about halfway through. I think it was a combination of the detailed descriptions (I’m mixed on this—I enjoyed visualizing and immersing myself in the glitzy stuff but I also wanted the story to get on with it) and some of the very shallow characters. For example: Eddie. I don’t really understand the point of him being there other than to add an extra coating of crazy rich (which, again, while entertaining I just wanted the story to moooove). Once we got to the wedding everything started rolling and I couldn’t put the book down. Nick finally getting a clue and standing up for Rachel was so satisfying. I absolutely loved the last handful of pages where we learn about Kerry’s past. At first I wasn’t sure if I would continue on to the next book in the trilogy but now I’m interested to read more about what happens next, especially with Astrid.
