Harlem's Little Blackbird: The Story of Florence Mills by Renée Watson

3.0

While the illustrations for this book were gorgeous, I don't feel like I learned anything about Florence Mills. The most I know about her is that she sang and danced and did it to try and promote little known people of color who were trying to break through on the stage. This book lacked detail. While it's a children's book, there is a way to make kid's non-fiction more informative than this.
