The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce

3.0

This is probably more of a 4-star book; however, I just got through reading another British story with a similar family dynamic. There are some small twists at the end which work well for the story, but I found myself wanting something more. I'm not sure I can even define what more I wanted. Perhaps it's just a little too quiet and skips over the main 2 dramatic scenes very quickly. I liked the encounters Harold has on his journey. Even though his motivations for walking seem odd, the journey itself and his self-repair are important. I recommend the book for the characters and imagistic writing.
