Sweet Enemy by Heather Snow
4.0
Sweet Enemy was one of my favourite historical romance novels that I have read in some time and an excellent start to the Veiled Seduction trilogy. This trilogy has me hoping to see much more from Heather Snow.
This is a well written novel with interesting characters and a well written love story. This is a novel tat is well researched and includes interesting pieces of history, science and politics. For readers of historical romance who like their historical romances to have a real and believable feel to them.
It was a welcome change of pace to have Geoffrey so focused on politics and for him to be so civic-minded, something you don't see much in romance heroes. It was also a welcome change of pace for Liliana to be so focused on science, something that is very rare in a historical romance heroine. Even with all of this going on, the plot regarding the murder of Liliana's father fir right in and felt welcome.
This is a book I would re-read.
