Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

I loved this book. From the moment I opened it and read the first few pages, I was intrigued. If I hadn’t been working on a few other books when I started it, I think I would’ve been able to finish it in just a couple of days.

I found it easy to follow, and I was actually invested in the training/battle scenes - but I could see how that might bore someone who wasn’t interested in that sort of topic.

I’ve read about some conflict regarding the author’s views/personality, but I didn’t personally go into reading this with any expectations or impressions other than “this was written in the late 70s-80s” and “this is a sci-fi novel”. So, I really enjoyed it.
