The rhymes and illustrations are great, but I was less impressed by the repeated statement that "what's mine is yours, what's yours is mine." Do we have to raise children to be collectivists? As an iconic Honest Toddler blog post points out, parents aren't jumping up at the playground to pass off their car keys to each other. Sometimes, it's okay to have special or important things that you don't share.

CORRECTION: The line was actually "what's yours is yours, what's mine is mine." Oops. I get a zero in reading comprehension. I'm now giving this book another star for encouraging sharing while also acknowledging private property rights!
