Pirate Alley by Stephen Coonts

This is the first book in the Tommy Carmellini series I have read, you don't need to know who he is to get into the story so don't be put off by the #5 in the series it stands alone and there's enough character back story to bring you up to speed. I definitely felt the beginning half of the book with the taking of the cruise liner was the best part and most intense. Towards the end with all the sneaking around, spying and military action some just felt long winded and drawn out (just my opinion). Overall though it was a good book that took a piece out of real world events and crafted a fictional story with it as a base. I know I won't be going on a cruise anytime soon though.
