The Red Parts by Maggie Nelson
5.0
Dark and difficult, but one of the most exceptional books I’ve read/listened to in years. The audible reader was phenomenal.
In Maggie Nelson’s own words:
“… I always hoped The Red Parts might one day become: a peculiar, pressurized meditation on time’s relation to violence, to grief, thankfully untethered from the garish rubrics of ‘current events,' ‘true crime,' or even ‘memoir.’"
