I can see why this play has stood the test of time. For the most part it was compelling and held my interest. A little outdated (understandably) so I can see why it might not be as exciting for modern audiences. I'd definitely be interested to read the book after reading this, though. I liked being able to see both endings, although I definitely preferred the original, darker ending.
