This book was cute, but not great. I liked the mc’s well enough, but neither really grabbed me, and especially not together.
I did like when Amy gave her family a big chunk of her mind to set them straight and her mom really won the day there too. I also liked that Amy and Victor were older (not 20s) and had some life experience.
I love Jackie Lau’s food descriptions and Amy’s enthusiasm about her new city and what it offers. And I adored A and V’s kissing sessions—so cute and sweet. Unfortunately their relationship and connection wasn’t developed enough on page. I enjoyed the supporting characters and the friendships a lot.
