Kissed: Belle/Sunlight and Shadow/Winter's Child by Cameron Dokey

Did not finish book.

This book and the rest in this Once Upon a Time series are not what I thought they would be. They are almost like YA chapter books. Unfortunately, that means that the stories will not be developed enough for me personally. I read the first book in this bind-up, Belle. It was pretty good. I would rate it 3 stars. I liked the characters and the writing, but by the time we met the Beast there weren't that many pages left and it was all rushed and anti-climactic. And this was the one that I wanted to read the most. I just don't see myself giving any more of this book or the others more than a 3 star rating and so as a result, I've lost interest. I think these books would be perfect for the tween and younger teen who enjoy retellings. Unfortunately my own daughter is not interested in retellings or else I would pass them on to her.
