This book is not structured like any other. There is no plot, no goal. It's the narrator's love which, through letters they write to their lovers, weaves the book together. The content, and all the raw emotions expressed in it, can be difficult to handle and face. It's challenging, but incredibly touching. A classic in Taiwanese literature.
