The stakes were low. The book barely had any tension given the subject matter. Felt like a turorial for a game 🤷♂️
When nukes became a major plot point my jaw dropped in disbelief... it just ruined the story because it's simply unbelievable that anyone can perceive value in that course of action. Like damn.
Did appreciate the obviously Republican character which is a rarity in fiction hahaha so there my understanding is broadened i guess
