In a Garden Burning Gold by Rory Power

I loved the world building in this story. For the most part, the characters are well-developed and have depth/relatability. There were a few, including Crysanthi and Nitsos, who I felt deserved a bit more building up. The pacing was also frustrating for me. I felt like there parts of the book that flew by and others that crawled. There was actually a plot point where I almost DNF, I was so shocked and upset. But I’m glad I persevered. I’m looking forward to the sequel and will definitely read it.
