Fire with Fire by Jenny Han, Siobhan Vivian

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. a burn for a burn. a life for a life. that's how all this got started. and that's how it's going to end.”

SpoilerOh my... wow.

I didn't expect that at all. I mean, I know there is something strange, or you may say 'unusual', about Mary. But I didn't expect her to be a freaking ghost (or is it spirit?). Like really? She seems human enough, aside from her strange telekinetic ability. Attending school just like normal people. So I always thought she was only a human but with unique ability. Or am I missing something here?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading more of her story (and Lillia's and Kat's of course). Whether she is enable to accomplish her revenge or she eventually accepts her past peacefully. Wait, does it make Mary a vengeful ghost then? And Lillia.. oh boy.. why it has to be Reeve? Just why?? I still don't get it. Why she has to fall for the "source of the problems" instead?

Reading along this book, I just know that once these girls go on with their revenge, there will be consequences at the end. You reap what you sow.
