“yearning… what a beautiful word to hear a butch say out loud.”
i slowly worked my way through this book, i only opened it when i had time to sit with it and truly think about it and i wouldn’t have it any other way. leslie feinberg managed to tell the story i didn’t know i needed 30 years before i needed it. when i say this book shifted something in me, i’m not exaggerating. it helped me make sense of myself and my own identity as a genderqueer lesbian in a way i never thought possible. my god. this book should be required reading for any queer identity.
