Apex Magazine Issue 135 by Jason Sizemore, Lesley Conner

4.0

APEX Magazine No. 135 finished. Of course, I skip completely illegible stories. But that was only one. There were five really good short stories and a good technical article about the Hexenhammer. In retrospect, the output wasn't so bad after all. The scenes are often so bizarre that I have to read and translate the sentences several times and often have to turn the pages back. In one scene, someone cut off their index finger, hung it around the heroine's neck, and then pointed the stump of the finger at the heroine. In scenes like this, I translate every single word because it's so incredible. Halfway through another short story, I realized it was about XXXXXXX. What was that "newskind" supposed to be? Then, at some point, when large XXXXXX appeared, I understood the whole story. There are often small puzzles that need to be cracked.
