Autumn Winifred Oliver Does Things Different by Kristin O'Donnell Tubb

2.0

While I ultimately found this book to be a little beyond my tastes for kids' literature, I did like how feisty and fun Autumn was as a character. Additionally, I enjoy reading books that take place in an area I'm familiar with, and this was right up that ally. I've been to Cades Cove, live not too far away, and have much love for the Smoky Mountains. Some of the events were a little too silly ...(Riding down Abrams Creek in a coffin? Stealing a stick of dynamite?) I think kids might like the outlandish nature of it, and that the local kids might especially like to read a book that takes place in their backyards.
