Blood Memory by Greg Iles

4.0

I can't find any faults with anything I've read by Greg Iles. They guy is so keyed in to observances on the human condition, his storylines are good, and his characters are very realistic.

In Blood Memory, he's back to the form he was in with Mortal Fear. Although I still feel the latter is by far his best, this one was still a very good read. Not so much because of the storyline, but it was the subject matter of childhood sexual abuse that carried the story along.
Obviously, this is a sensitive and difficult subject to present to a reader. Follow through with repercussions and effects on a victim, some of which I'll bet the average reader would never consider, and this can
become a harrowing read at times.

It shows that Iles has done extensive research for this novel. Anytime you can combine a fine read with a valued learning experience is certainly time well spent.
