Because of the Sun by Jenny Torres Sanchez

3.0

It’s not often books take place in New Mexico. It was refreshing to read about new scenery and settings. Sanchez’s discussion of generational trauma was well-done. She showed how to break the cycle—to find love, real live and mostly for yourself. She dealt with depression and PTSD in a responsible manner. Though the book was mostly about the Falls’ journeys to understanding, she could have spoken about immigration more. The romance was just right.
