Interesting concept, but too cliche
I really wanted to love it. When the author started talking about the Many Worlds Theory, it was intriguing and I was excited about where the book was going to take me.
But the whole thing was a bit too cliche. I mean the main character starts off in the police station noticing a cop eating a doughnut. (*gasp*) Nearly every character is type cast. The beautiful wife, the sexy coworker - turns mistress. The hunky, empathetic friend that the wife sleeps with. Even the scenes of Chicago feel cliche - Wrigley field, the Hancock building, and the Taste of Chicago.
A little familiarity for the reader is great, but this book felt uninteresting, and was a bit of a disappointment given the concept is really cool.
