This is a coming-of-age story that I don't think really was relatable for me.  Well, I take that back.  A lot of the religious information was incredibly relatable to my childhood, so there was some camaraderie there.  It's a relatively short book, but I guess I was expecting more of an obvious philosophical revelation at the end?  We read this in my bookclub, so it was fascinating to do research on the author and had a lot of fun with that.  Would probably not pick up any of his other works though.
