As with ZA it feels like the authors are really stretching Darkmore out. it makes it so that the books become repetitive and even though they’re fast reads; the story becomes a slog to get through and less enjoyable.

the other thing that has become SUPER noticeable is that the characters are recycled in each series. Ryder is Darius is Cain. Leon is Seth is Sin. Gabriel is Caleb is Roary. Dante is Max is Ethan. they barely even deviate from Washer to Plunger, even in name.

this also leads to the characters being less enjoyable because the arcs are the same book after book. the funny bits feel less funny and more like the same damn joke told 800 times.

I enjoy the books overall but less so as the stories get more and more drug out and repetitive. that this was supposed to be a four book series and now is looking to be five is just reinforcing that.
