My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite

5.0

I am not one to describe books as "An absolute page-turner!" because I do not speak in back cover pull-quote and judging by my Goodreads activity I became literate circa May 2022....but wow, what an absolute page-turner!

My "Dates read" may not reflect this, with three weeks being the longest period of time anyone has ever read this near-novella, but I promise you when I was picking this up, I was blasting through those damn pages.

This is probably more like a 4-4.5 star book, as the fevered race to the end can't quite sustain the foreboding and engrossing thrill of its start. However, I'm rounding up due to an inkling that my fellow Goodreads-ers are overly critical of its conclusion for reasons I find...dubious!

I'll stop there to avoid spoilees but: to whomever has read this book and most importantly this review, I look forward to meeting you in the court of public opinion.
