A complex case or two rather involving several police forces and special branch. A forensic profiler working on a serial killer case gets murdered but was it the serial killer or someone else?
The profiler being from Bath sees Peter Diamond embroiled in her case and can't help being intrigued by the potential serial killer too.
I really enjoyed this case and I hadn't sussed it out except for who the chap at the beach in black was. It was fun to see the friendship of Peter and Hen (she has her own series too - I wonder if they cross paths in the future too?). A fun team they make, although so many cigars! The Clash of The Cats tickled me too. All in all a great read and very very interesting solution.
