Immortal Hulk Vol. 4: Abomination by Al Ewing

4.0

This continues to be one of the best Marvel series in ages.

On a personal note, when I was a kid, I would always go through the little catalogs of action figures and put stars by the ones I really wanted. But in the event that one of my relatives gave me an action figure for Christmas or my birthday, it was invariably some random character I had never even heard of. But I would still make up stories to play out with those toys, even if I didn't know their names. Two of those action figures that stand out in my memory the most were based on key characters in this series - "Bushwacker" Carl Burbank (a pasty muscular dude whose right arm was morphed into a large double-barreled gun with projectiles) and "The Abomination" Emil Blonsky (which ended up being one of the only action figures that survived my adolescence and still sits in a bin of sentimental miscellany).
