Devil in the Details by L.J. Hayward

This was an automatic 5 stars for me the second I began reading. Why you say? Well because the first part of this novella is Ethan's POV. That's right folks, we get to spend a little time inside our favorite assassins head. I've been dying to hear his thoughts since I first started the series and realized it wasn't dual POV. And you know what else, it wasn't what I expected. It was better.

Ethan is complex as a character on his own, but reading how he actually interpreted previous scenes was interesting to say the least. He is up there as one of my favorites. I just want to snuggle him sometimes.

The last novella dealt with the feels starting to emerge. This one had them actually opening their mouths and using words. Communication people! It's important.

I do think reading this novella will be important for the next actual book in the series. A lot of stuff happened in this little diddy. Things that are sure to be explored deeper in the book to come. I for one, cannot wait for more Ethan and Jack.
